Astronomy Day
September 27, 2008
On September 27 we will have another Astronomy Day Star Party in Waterloo Park. Although Astronomy Day is really October 4, we got the park for September 27, a week early. Hopefully the weather will co-operate and we will all have a good time showing the public the stars of fall.
The Day's activities will include members meeting the public at Zehrs and KW Telescope. In the evening we will go to Waterloo Park for the Star Party.

The club's Astronomy BBQ and Star Party was held at Dave Garner's house in Mount Forest on Saturday, July 5. The weather held out for an excellent BBQ and evening Star Party. Thanks to all for making this event very successful.

May 10th was Astronomy Day!
WOW! And thank you!
This has been a huge success!!
We raised $140.00 in donations and had over 100 ballots for the draws.
By all indications, the Zehrs display was a great success, with many people talking with the members and this led to a number of them (the public) coming out to Waterloo Park.
We owe a special thank you to Brady, Steve and Peter for their support and involvement in making our day such a huge success. Thank you for including the club in your ad campaign on the radio and in print.
Waterloo Park was a huge success, even though we were partially clouded out. At least the Moon and Saturn were visible. We estimate that there were over 300 people, adults and many, many children, who came to view the night skies. Twenty-two club members and friends brought a variety of scopes and teaching aids to the park. People were very receptive and appreciative of our effort to promote our hobby.

Christie Astro Day
May 13th, 2008
The Christie Astro day was on Tuesday, May 13th.
It too was a success with over 100 people attending and 13 scopes set
up.
